I know it hasnt been. But the last few holidays Anet has thrown it in there anyway. Its one of the biggest gold sinks and gets people online even if they are sitting afk for hours on end. I imagine Boardwalk will be in every event from here on out. It only helps Anet economy wise and only helps the players lucky wise. So i understand its appeal.

I'm just hoping I can exchange those root and termite leg things for alcohol drinks. I could farm them ahead of time and stock up, but I don't now for sure if the traders will be the same. So I just wait and confirm first. Anyways, I'm hoping for that so I can farm massive amounts of drinks again.

Doubt that, we'll have Christmas for certain this year before GW2 and perhaps another Christmas as well.
Good to see that the Halloween tradition will stay alive though, I love the festivals

My Ideas:
Hat:
- Random Weapon stuck in head (Arrow, Axe, Sword, etc)
- Large Koss-like tidye Aphros
Others:
- That black body suit idea with a Skeleton print (I liked that idea suggested)
- Gain a /rank like command that flashes an Evil Laughing Skull
- Maxed colored named Bone Weapons
Sword (Armbone with hand and sharp fingers
Hammer (Large leg bone with socket as the hammer head)
Wand (smaller leg bone with foot as wand head)
Staff (Spine)
Shield (Thorasic cage with ribs)
Daggers (sharp hand bones)
Scythe (Larger curved spine)
Axe (Shoulder blade with arm)
Festival End:
Other then Mad King Thorn killing us over and over again
- Rampaging monsters all over town
Dance Party!
Have the Center Square of Each town be converted into a dance floor
http://images.google.com/images?gbv=...ed+dance+floor
- Have the Lich King be the host for the event in Tyria
- Have Shiro, Kanaxai and Urgoz Host the party in Cantha
- Have Abaddon Host the party in Elona
Concert!
Have a large Stage and every 2-3 hours, have a huge show! just like this favorite video of Heeding the Call!

I realized that it was getting close to October last week, got all excited so I figured I'd go ahead and do like last year and have a shit load of orr emblems, charr carvings and termite legs. No such luck. They barely drop.
I'm still excited though. Regardless of what extras they decide to put in or not put in am sure I'll like it. For nostalgia's sake if nothing else.

I look forward to Halloween and Wintersday festivals every year. I think they are a blast and a good fun!
I would like a mini pet instead of a hat this year...I have waaaay too many hats and never the oppurtunity to wear them.
Cool Halloween minis
- Phantom
-Undead pick a profession (ranger, cleric, wizard)
-Graspin ghoul
-just a plain ol ghost or spirit
could give these out like they did the minipigs or by completing ALL Halloween quests.

Long black hooded capes, similar to the Dervish armor. Everyone would absolutely love that look.

It would be nice if Anet allowed us to get missed hats. I missed the very first pumpkin hat.

I have a feeling this may happen as GW2 comes along. As a final hurrah they may throw all the hats at us so everyone can get them in some way.

Halloween-themed Dragon Arena.
You know you want it.
Edit for clarification: I don't mean decorations. I'm talking flaming pumpkins in place of the dragon blast, kotows turning people into imps/goblins/garden gnomes/witchs w/e, and candy/tonic/spiked punch drops from kills. Maybe a chilling laugh sounds effect after a kill (similar to the mod). Things like that.

I just want to know what the collector item will be well before the event...I don't want to spend my time farming trophies when I could be in LA enjoying the festivities instead.

That's becuase the last few holidays that the boardwalk games have been present for have been... Canthan Holidays. :P
They were doing the boardwalk games since before Halloween and Wintersday 2006, and they didn't do the boardwalk games for those years.
But anyway;
I hope for a new hat, though I don't mind a slightly redesigned pumpkin crown. And a (simple) minipet scavenger hunt. Nothing as widespread or as complicated/time consuming/ expensive as the mini moa, but it would be nice if you had to do a little traveling (Very little farming) to get it.

I would <3 anet forever.
And I wouldn't mind some viable items, kinda like the bison cup but maybe a jack-o-lantern instead. Or, inscribable candy corn weapons or somethin. That'd be awesome, and they'd be the same as collector weapons, so it'd be fair.
But, what would make my month is if they made the Halloween event last all through October, or maybe Oct. 15 - Nov. 15. Although all my progress would halt because of all the time I'd spend in LA
